Reminding me of the Grand Old
Oak Tree in Our Backyard Seemingly
Perfectly Shaped With Lights Arranged
Around the Trunk Holy and Sacred to me
Keeping me Grounded to Nature Through
So Many Years of Working Stress Standing

For Every Leaf that
Falls Imprints of Trees Above
Feeding New Green For Spring
Fractal of the Whole of All THaT iS
From Every Leaf RiSing Green to Every
Leaf Brown

Freezing
In Winter

Greening Spring

Hurricane Ivan Came and
Decimated That Tree All that
Was Left Was a Stump Back in 2004
Yet a New Twig With Just a Few Leafs
Sprouted From the Stump and Now 21 Years
