Yesterday night a quote caught my eye…
You will continue to suffer if you
Warren Buffet
have an emotional reaction to
everything that is said to you
True power is sitting back and
observing things with logic. True
power is restraint. If words
control you that means everyone
else can control you. Breathe
and allow things to pass
I began to think what makes one hopeful. To move beyond despair, we need to learn to see hope no matter the storm. To make light of the heavy, is not easy but it helps to stay in touch with practice. To feel emotional is human but to be aware of how to balance these feelings in conscious awareness consistently is about inculcating practice.
I felt strongly resonant with Warren Buffet’s words in the quote above…
And he said the truth.
For life is a game
A play of power
A chessboard to challenge
The adversary in action
If you balance your emotions
Channel your thoughts & feelings
Take time to traverse through
And let the cool winds blow…
You begin to understand
The spaces between the steps
Trusting time in tolerance & patience
In choosing to practise restraint.
In choosing faith beyond fear
In choosing hope beyond despair.
That’s what keeps you going
That’s what keeps you balanced.
That’s what makes life worth living.
Breathe and allow things to pass…

Emotional storage especially of negative responses, is the severest self harm one can do to themselves
The one who is the cause without intention must have forgotten it.
With intention means ur hurt will give them a reason to smirk or smile.
Words are ofcourse powerful. But wisdom is in knowing how much importance one should give to it, both for positive & negative, knowing the transiency of time. .
Remembered a story read somewhere. A famous saint was asked once how he could smile in spite of the insults and vicious things said about him, he asked, what would u do if u r taking a gift to some one n they are not accepting it.
I’ll take it back with me.
The saint smiled and said same thing here. I’m not accepting the gifts they are giving me , hence whatever they say goes back to them. Both praise or curse I never take it . Hence I’m not affected by it in the least.
A lesson we all should learn to keep our sanity . Lesson on equanimity
