Timely decision making is a valuable skill for one and all and especially for a manager.
As a Consultant and as Dance Educator I have often coached teams and dancers on this important skill. For procrastination can not only lead to delay and erode trust in teams but also have dire consequences .
Here are three simple ways to help take better decisions.
1: Think through to ask, thought-provoking questions. Questions that make way for reflection and greater insights.
2: Set goals and expectations and then explore varied perspectives & consider multiple alternative options.
3: Broaden perspectives, explore possibilities beyond the obvious. And challenge the self limiting assumptions that often create doubts & stall decision making.
