Mind

Today am happy to share an introspective piece of poetry by my mother Anjana.

Mind
The strange , invisible me
Playing me like a puppet
In its hands.

All of a sudden
When in a group of happy hearts
The neurons in my grey cells suddenly switch
some remote thoughts
Buried deep in my memory folds .
And lo,
amidst the laughter and gaiety
I shrink to my own self,
Away from this Now n Joy.

Amidst a mourning group,
Or sad events,
It strings the tune of
Blessed moments
Making me smile within myself.

How powerful are
The seeds of thoughts
Arising from the depth of mind
Controlling my
moods, words and actions.

It makes me dance to its tunes.
I become a slave to its
Whims and fancies
Losing control of my own self
And repenting later.

All happens in spite of
learning about
awareness and detachment.
When I will learn to tame
The wild horse,
And become the master from slave.?

Wow Savvy, I did not know that mom too is a poet. No wonder you too are one. It runs in the family I guess.

Absolutely wonderful. No better comments needed.

    SMiLes Dear Savvy
    Your Mother’s Intuitions
    And Life Experience About
    Our Emotions Preceding
    Subconsciously Our Actions
    And Our Reasons for Actions
    Is Actually Grounded in Modern
Science Particularly too in How the
Right Hemisphere of Mind More Silently
    Processes Our Realities Through Feelings
And Senses Presently and the Left Hemisphere
RePresents Taking Reality Apart in Symbols We Use
    Like Words
    And Other
    Partial
    Representations
    of Reality Like the
    Word Tree that Alone
Is surely not a Picture of a Tree
    Ah Yes Modern Science Particularly
Per the Research of Iain McGilchrist
Suggests the More silent part of Our
    Minds is the Master Now
    Where the Representative
Mind Plays A Role better as
    Servant Rather than one
    Attempting to Rigidly
    Label and Control
    Reality in Parts
    Instead of Whole
    Yet of Course the Order
That Part of Our Minds Creates
in Everyday Life is Necessary to
    Navigate
    Life too as
    Always a Balance
    As Left And Right Hemispheres
    May Cooperate Holding ‘Hands’
Where the Metaphor of Yin and
Yang Surely Fits in For Real Yes
Where a Meditative Flow in Bio-Feedback
May Help Us to Engage A Balance That Makes
    Surviving
    And Thriving
    Much Greater
As A Joy Of Life Now
    Newly

      Very true
Metaphors of life & living fits in for real.
Such a delicate balance of the yin & yang energies are needed
To survive the storms of life
And find joy in being alive in every now.

If only we can practice the pauses to space our selves by mastering of our mind in mindful presence & responses that reckless reaction.

Thank You Again Dear Savvy Indeed a Delicate
Balance and Lifelong Practice of ‘Move and
Repose’ as that Applies to All We Do In

        Balance

        Newly Now

        Yin and Yang

        No Separation

        Inhale Peace Exhale
