What is happening to our state of being
Our air is impure
Our waters are polluted
Our seasons are erratic
Our forests are fast disappearing
Our land is reclaimed
Our food is contaminated
Almost every kind of food and medicine
Is adulterated.
Our fruits are ripened with chemicals.
Our rice is turning plastic
Our vegetables are genetically modified
Nothing feels real anymore
What is happening to the real?
Is anything authentic at all?
We are living in a virtual world
What is pure and what is contaminated?
We are living in a world of unethical practices.
How do we stay aware?
To spot the differences
To find the real among these fakes.
We are sadly in a world without ethical practices in businesses. We need to find ways to sustain our world . It begins with each of us. As each step to change for better and find solutions starts with understanding the issues up close.

Strange that we are the culprits as well as the victims here.

The cannibals are themselves eaten? In WW2, we had rationing, so we grew more vegetables and fruit. We may have had little meat and sugar….but we dined on FRESH vegs such as onions, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, cabbage, swede, turnips, peas and spinach. At times, we had chickens ,so our own eggs, also runner beans, marrow, strawberries, loganberries, raspberries, blackberries, apples and pears. None of it tinned or artificial. Most biscuits and cakes were home-made too. My mother was an ace cook. How times have changed!

Yes there was joy and contentment in the simple and ordinary back then.
There was a certain wholesomeness that is missing now ….everything seems too artificial and unnatural
Great to know about your mom too!! 🙏

Thanks, Savvy. Looking back, we had so much less of everything, but I never once felt deprived. Although we had indoor plumbing, in the 40’s we had no central heating, very little alternative heating,no telephone or television. Of course, progress is necessary and applauded but people do seem greedier now! Peace and love .Joy x

Yes Joy, contentment is the realization of how much we already have . It is somehow not given much value any more for it is replaced with never ending materialistic desires
Btw I truly appreciate your name .Joy😇
Lots of goodwill
